Job description
Job Summary:
We are looking for an eager & motivated Apprentice Compressor Technician to join our team. In this role you will work directly alongside our qualified senior technicians. You will learn how to install, maintain, service & repair various types of industrial air compressors & equipment. This is an entry-level position, perfect for someone looking to build a long term career in the mechanical field & electrical trades. What You Will Do:
- Assist senior technicians with routine servicing & breakdowns.
- Learn to diagnose faults in mechanical & electrical compressor systems.
- Perform basic maintenance like changing oil, filters & separator elements.
- Keep tools, equipment & work areas clean, organized & safe.
- Complete required paperwork & log books accurately.
What we are looking for:
- Education: Matric/Grade 12 or an N2/N3 technical qualification (Mechanical or electrical) is highly preferred.
- Background Check: Clear criminal record (Checks will be conducted)
- Skills: Basic understanding of hand tools & strong mechanical aptitude.
- License: Valid drivers license.
- Attitude: A strong willingness to learn, listen & follow safety protocols.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy parts & work in industrial & mining environments.
