Job description
Area Sales Manager (Vodacom Account)
Monthly Salary: R23 311.61 (inclusive of pension fund, medical aid allowance and a fuel card).
Monthly KPI Targets: R5000
Location: East London, Eastern Cape
Position Type: Full-Time Field Management
Job Purpose: Lead and manage a field team of Field Marketers and Sales Specialists to achieve prepaid, postpaid, retention, and customer experience (tNPS) targets across an allocated geographic area. Spends 75% of time in retail stores conducting audits and field coaching.
Key Responsibilities:
● Manage sales performance, daily check-ins, placements, and KPI execution for field
teams.
● Conduct in-field quality assurance (QA) audits and structured coaching sessions.
● Build strong trade relationships with regional Vodacom stakeholders and store
managers.
● Compile weekly performance reports, manage team diaries, validate logbooks, and
handle basic Industrial Relations (IR) matters.
Requirements:
● Matric essential; Degree/Diploma in Business, Sales, or Marketing advantageous.
● 3–5 years experience in sales/field execution, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role.
● Cellular/telecoms industry experience preferred.
● Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.
● Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and field systems
(Repsly).
Pay: From R23 311,61 per month
