Job description
A leading security company is seeking experienced and dedicated Armed Response Officers to join our professional team in Cape Town.
We are looking for disciplined, vigilant, and customer-focused individuals who are committed to protecting our clients and responding effectively to security incidents.
Minimum Requirements
* Minimum of 3 years’ proven experience as an Armed Response Officer.
* PSIRA registered (Grade C minimum; Grade B will be advantageous).
* Valid SAPS firearm competency certificate for business purposes in accordance with the Firearms Control Act.
* Proficiency in the safe handling and use of firearms.
* Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
* Willingness to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and standby duties.
* No criminal record.
Key Responsibilities
* Respond promptly and professionally to alarm activations and emergency incidents.
* Conduct patrols and safeguard clients, their property, and assets.
* Perform security inspections and identify potential risks.
* Liaise with clients, the South African Police Service (SAPS), and emergency services when required.
* Complete incident reports and maintain accurate operational records.
* Ensure compliance with company procedures, PSIRA regulations, and all applicable legislation.
* Maintain company vehicles, firearms, and equipment in a safe and serviceable condition.
