Tsebo Facilities Solutions is looking for a Artisan Aid Plumber to provide technical support in the execution of reactive and planned preventative maintenance on plumbing infrastructure, plant, and equipment within agreed service level requirements. The Artisan Aid supports qualified plumbers with installations, repairs, maintenance activities, and related operational tasks while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Duties & Responsibilities

Plumbing Installations and Repairs

• Assist plumbers with installation, maintenance, repair, and replacement of plumbing systems.
• Support pipe fitting, fixture installation, appliance connections, and leak repairs.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving plumbing faults.

Preventative and Reactive Maintenance

• Execute planned preventative maintenance tasks allocated by senior technicians.
• Respond to reactive maintenance requests as directed.
• Apply best operational practices when carrying out maintenance and repair activities.

Learning and Technical Development

• Learn and apply plumbing techniques under supervision.
• Improve practical skills such as pipe cutting, soldering, equipment usage, and blueprint interpretation.
• Participate in ongoing training and development activities.

Tool and Material Management

• Gather, organize, maintain, and account for tools and materials.
• Ensure required equipment and materials are available for assigned tasks.
• Provide material requirements to the Senior Technician for effective job completion.

Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ)

• Comply with all SHEQ policies, procedures, and standards.
• Utilize PPE correctly and consistently.
• Maintain a safe work environment and identify hazards proactively.
• Adhere to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 requirements where applicable.

Productivity and Service Delivery

• Complete assigned work orders efficiently and effectively.
• Achieve an average of four work orders per day.
• Contribute to minimizing downtime and improving maintenance response times.

Housekeeping and Worksite Maintenance

• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and workshops.
• Assist with waste disposal and housekeeping activities.
• Ensure tools, materials, and equipment are properly stored after use.
• Customer Service Interact professionally and courteously with customers and stakeholders.
• Provide basic information regarding maintenance activities when required.
• Promote positive client relationships through quality service delivery.

Compliance and Documentation

• Ensure maintenance activities comply with relevant plumbing codes and regulations.
• Complete maintenance check sheets and submit them weekly.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials utilized.

Teamwork and Communication

• Collaborate effectively with plumbers, artisans, technicians, contractors, and support staff.
• Communicate progress, challenges, and requirements clearly.

Assist with transportation of employees where required.

Qualifications

Qualification

• Grade 12 (Matric)

Experience

• Minimum 3 years relevant maintenance or plumbing support experience
• Valid Driver's License
