Artisan Boilermaker – Fixed Term Contract

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Repairs on conveyer belts, chutes, aprons, mills, crushers, feeders, magnetic separators.
• Preventative maintenance service of all plant equipment
• Fault finding, troubleshooting and root cause failure analysis of equipment breakdown
• Do developments like lobster bends, cones, and square to round
• A section of the plant will be allocated to the respective boilermaker
• Ensuring availability of equipment spares for his/her responsible section.
• Reading drawings and be able to use measuring instruments
• Arc and TIG/MIG welding
• Welding and fabrication of mild steel plate, heavy and light structures, and pipe work
• Welding and fabrication of stainless-steel plate and pipe work
• Statutory checks on structures, equipment and tools
• Adhering to Health, Safety and Environmental standards and good housekeeping

About you:

• N2 with relevant trade subjects
• Relevant Trade Test Certificate (Section 13 or 26D)
• 3 Years’ working experience in a mining / plant environment
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Medically fit
• Good communication skills.
