Job description
JOB PURPOSE
To manage and provide technical support as required for delivery of all the mechanical and electrical equipment
required to achieve organisational goals.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Reduce machine downtime
- Repair breakdowns & do fault finding.
- Daily walkthrough inspections.
- Make running adjustments.
- Note items for repair.
- Continuous improvement initiatives
- Work according to SOPs.
- Ensure Housekeeping
- Apply 3S principles.
- Ownership – to see the bigger picture and take ownership by thinking and acting beyond the role.
EDUCATION AND REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Qualified as a Millwright (Trade test at a recognized institution)
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the mechanical field on rotation machinery, hydraulics and pneumatics in a
manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the tyre manufacturing and automotive industry will be an advantage.
