ARTISAN DIESEL MECHANIC

The above-mentioned vacancy exists at Dubigeon Body and Coach (Pty) Ltd. Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

The ideal applicant will possess the following:

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification or NTC qualification
• Qualified Artisan Diesel Mechanic (Trade test certificate)
• Related job experience in OEM chassis assembly for bus bodybuilding.
• ± 5 years previous working experience in mechanical setup of bus chassis and or trucks from OEM format to commissioning of chassis for bodybuilding.
• Manufacturing assembly of bus or truck production line would be advantageous.

JOB OUTPUTS

• To do assembly of bus chassis for bus body building format but not limited to these.
• Test engines and other automotive components
• Plan / co-ordinate and work with team to ensure assembly targets are met
• Adhering to workshop / assembly line health and safety procedures
• Ensure required quality standards are met and maintained
• Assembly of vehicles in accordance with specified OEM works instructions, drawings, build and quality procedures
• Ensure that the stage by stage assembly sign off procedure is complied with during the assembly process.
• Perform routine administrative and reporting functions in accordance with the daily, weekly and monthly recording and reporting procedures and requirements
• Assist with the monitoring and maintenance of measuring equipment and instruments
• Job output not related to specific work centres
• Management will determine based on production to move employee to required areas of the business.
