Introduction

Komatsu South Africa is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic Artisan to join our dynamic team in Bloemfontein. The preferred candidate should have at least 3 years’ post-trade experience on heavy earthmoving equipment within the mining or related industry and a relevant Heavy Equipment Mechanic Trade certificate.

Machine and Component Disassembly and Assembly (new and rebuild)

Desired Experience & Qualification

Qualification

Heavy Earthmoving Mechanic (HEM / EEM) Trade
Valid driver’s license
Medical certificate of fitness
Safety, Health and Environment legislation understanding

Experience

3 years experience post trade experience in the earthmoving/mining equipment industry.

Specific Knowledge Requirements

Have good trouble shooting knowledge on equipment & familiar with standard tool requirements
Computer literate (MS Office)
Good understanding of maintenance policies and procedures
Good communication and inter-personal skills
Knowledge of and experience working with Komatsu equipment is an added advantage.
