Artwork Layout Specialist

Job Purpose

To produce accurate, high-quality and print-ready artwork layouts that meet client corporate identity requirements, product branding specifications and internal production standards. The role is responsible for ensuring artwork is correctly sized, positioned and formatted, conducting quality checks, maintaining brand integrity, and delivering layouts within agreed turnaround times while supporting the team in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Key Performance Areas

• Produce clear, accurate layouts aligned with client Corporate Identity and product branding limitations.
• Ensure layouts are correctly sized, proportioned, and positioned for specific branding methods.
• Submit completed layouts within 2-hour SLA unless otherwise communicated and approved.
• Conduct final quality checks to confirm alignment, scaling, and file readiness before submission.
• Maintain accuracy rates above agreed KPI targets.
• Apply best practices for logo placement and scale per branding area without distortion.
• Identify and escalate potential branding challenges before client approval.
• Ensure layouts are compliant with internal production standards and brand parameters.
• Convert and clean client logos accurately, maintaining brand colours and visual integrity.
• Use software tools to optimize file formats for print and digital layout requirements.
• Demonstrate continuous improvement in speed and efficiency of software use.
• Follow verbal and written instructions accurately, completing tasks with minimal supervision.
• Collaborate effectively within a high-volume, fast-paced team environment.
• Show initiative in prioritizing workload and escalating tasks when blocked.
• Support team goals by assisting colleagues and sharing best practices or process improvements.

Minimum Skills and Knowledge Required

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• National Diploma in Graphic Design or related field
• Proficiency in CorelDraw and Adobe Suite(advantageous).
• Exposure to corporate branding and artwork approval processes(advantageous)
• Understanding of print and production processes, colour modes, vector vs raster.
• Familiarity with line drawings and product template usage.
• Experience in checking/converting file formats
• Ability to prepare print-ready artwork (resolution, bleed, safe zone
