About the Role

K-SL Group is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Accountant to join our Finance Team. The successful candidate will support the accounting function by maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with financial reporting, reconciliations, payroll support, and ensuring compliance with company policies and financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and processing of accounting transactions.
• Perform monthly bank, creditor, and debtor reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Support the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Assist with payroll administration and related reconciliations.
• Process journals and maintain the general ledger.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Prepare schedules and supporting documents for audits.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
• Provide administrative support to the Finance Department as required.

Minimum Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2–3 years' experience in an accounting or finance environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Added Advantage

• Experience in payroll administration.
• Knowledge of Payroll Pastel, Xero, or similar accounting systems.
• Experience within a multi-company or group environment.
