Assistant Executive Housekeeper

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Executive Housekeeper in the day-to-day management of the Housekeeping department.
• Lead, motivate, and develop the housekeeping team to deliver consistently high standards.
• Ensure all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas are maintained to luxury standards.
• Conduct regular room inspections and quality audits.
• Assist with staff scheduling, training, and performance management.
• Monitor departmental budgets, stock control, and housekeeping supplies.
• Ensure health, safety, hygiene, and housekeeping procedures are followed at all times.
• Work closely with Front Office, Maintenance, and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
• Handle guest requests and resolve housekeeping-related concerns professionally.
• Assist in driving continuous improvement and operational efficiency within the department.

Requirements

• Previous experience as an Assistant Executive Housekeeper, Housekeeping Manager, or Senior Housekeeping Supervisor within a quality hotel or luxury hospitality environment.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
• Good organisational, planning, and time management abilities.
• Experience with housekeeping systems and stock control.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
• A hands-on approach with a passion for guest service.
