We're Hiring: Assistant General Manager (AGM) – Camps Bay Restaurant
Are you a passionate hospitality professional with strong leadership skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences?
We are looking for an experienced Assistant General Manager (AGM) to join our dynamic team at a busy, upmarket restaurant in the heart of Camps Bay.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the General Manager in the day-to-day operation of the restaurant.
- Lead, motivate, and develop the front-of-house team.
- Ensure exceptional customer service and guest satisfaction.
- Oversee daily opening and closing procedures.
- Manage staff scheduling, training, and performance.
- Monitor stock control, ordering, and cost management.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company standards.
- Assist in achieving sales targets and controlling operational costs.
- Handle guest feedback professionally and resolve issues promptly.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3–5 years' management experience in a busy restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Sound understanding of restaurant operations, stock control, and labour management.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Hands-on approach with a positive, energetic attitude.
- Knowledge of POS systems and restaurant management software is advantageous.
