Career Growth Hospitality Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced Assistant Housekeeping Manager to join a prestigious luxury hospitality property in the Cape Winelands.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate housekeeping professional who enjoys leading by example, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, and creating memorable guest experiences. Working closely with the Executive Housekeeper, you will play a key role in the day-to-day management of the department while developing and motivating a high-performing housekeeping team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the daily management of the Housekeeping department.
• Lead, coach and support the housekeeping team to deliver exceptional service standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house spaces.
• Ensure all areas consistently meet luxury hospitality cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Assist with staff scheduling, daily planning and departmental administration.
• Monitor linen, guest supplies and housekeeping stock levels.
• Work closely with Front Office, Maintenance and other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
• Handle guest requests and resolve housekeeping-related concerns professionally and efficiently.
• Support training, performance management and continuous staff development.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and hygiene standards throughout the department.

Requirements

• Previous experience in an Assistant Housekeeping Manager, Housekeeping Supervisor or similar leadership role within a luxury hotel, lodge or wine estate.
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations and quality standards.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• High attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Computer literacy and experience with hotel property management systems will be advantageous.
