Job description
The Assistant Store Manager at Ladurée will support the Area Operations Manager and F & B manager in running the daily operations of the Restaurant.
This role ensures:
- Luxury customer experience
- Strong sales performance
- Strict brand standards (French “Art de Vivre”)
You act as the Store Manager’s deputy, leading the team, maintaining operational excellence, and stepping in when needed.
Key Responsibilities
Store Operations & Leadership
- Support daily store operations (opening, closing, floor management)
- Ensure smooth running of the boutique during busy periods
- Take full responsibility when the Store Manager is absent
- Coordinate staff schedules and shift coverage
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, motivate, and coach the retail or hospitality team
- Provide on-the-floor training and performance feedback
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of staff
- Foster a positive, professional team culture
Customer Experience & Service Excellence
- Deliver a premium luxury experience to every customer
- Ensure service aligns with Ladurée’s elegant brand standards
- Handle customer complaints professionally and discreetly
- Act as a brand ambassador on the shop floor
Sales & Commercial Performance
- Support achieving sales targets and KPIs
- Drive upselling and cross-selling (e.g., seasonal macarons, gift boxes)
- Monitor performance metrics like:
- Conversion rate
- Average transaction value
- Help implement sales strategies and promotions
Visual Merchandising & Brand Standards
- Ensure boutique presentation reflects luxury standards
- Maintain:
- Product displays
- Packaging quality
- Store cleanliness and ambiance
- Uphold Ladurée’s signature aesthetic and attention to detail
Stock & Inventory Management
- Oversee stock deliveries, counts, and replenishment
- Ensure product freshness and proper stock rotation
- Minimise waste and stock loss
- Maintain organized stockrooms
Compliance & Operations Control
- Ensure compliance with:
- Health & safety
- Food hygiene standards
- Company procedures
- Support audits and operational checks
- Handle cash management and POS reconciliation
Communication & Reporting
- Report performance, issues, and feedback to the Store Manager
- Communicate promotions, targets, and updates to the team
- Support daily and weekly reporting (sales, stock, operations)

Requirements
- 5 years experience in:
- Retail management
- Hospitality / luxury environment
- Experience with:
- POS systems
- Sales targets and KPIs
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and peak trading times
