Assistant to Depot Manager – Logistics & Operations
Kaalfontein, Gauteng (R21 Corridor)
We are looking for an organised, hands-on Assistant to Depot Manager to support the daily running of our Kaalfontein logistics depot.
This is a development opportunity for someone who wants to build a career in logistics and progress into a leadership role.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Depot Manager with daily depot operations
- Coordinate with planners, drivers and yard teams
- Assist with vehicle dispatch, readiness and load checks
- Monitor vehicle stock, storage and inventory accuracy
- Conduct stock takes and vehicle reconciliations
- Track driver productivity and operational performance
- Assist with compliance, documentation and reporting
- Identify and escalate operational issues
- Help ensure smooth, efficient service delivery
Requirements
- 1–3 years’ experience in logistics, transport, operations or administration
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and solve problems
- Leadership potential and willingness to learn
- Logistics, fleet or inventory experience will be advantageous
The depot is conveniently located near Kempton Park, Benoni, Edenvale, Centurion and OR Tambo International Airport, with direct access to the R21.
Important: This is a hands-on operational role and is not purely administrative.
