Job description
Job Description Responsible for total quality assurance at the production site, which includes ensuring the effectiveness of Quality Control Management System and specifications which enables the production of high -quality products
Key Responsibilities The core functions define the key areas of responsibility for this role, reflecting the accountabilities and expected outputs outlined in the competency-based profile. These are the primary activities through which the role delivers value to the business.
- Conduct daily quality control checks on incoming raw material, in- process product and / finished / packed product.
- Responsible for total Quality assurance at the Production site which includes ensuring the effectiveness of Quality Control Management System and specifications which enables the production of high- quality products.
- To timeously ensure that testing equipment are in good condition to ensure accuracy of results.
- To analyse and record the results to verify whether the products are within specification and inform line and or supervisor accordingly.
- To maintain general standard of housekeeping and safety to meet GLP standards.
- To ensure Food Safety (FSSC 22000) adherence.
- To ensure that the OHSAct is complied with.
- To ensure timeous and accurate results capturing onto LIMS
Qualification Requirements
- Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science
Experience Requirements
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a laboratory environment will be an advantage
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office package)

- Worked within an ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory will be recommended
- ISO 17025 introduction and implementation essential
