Job description

AVSOL Cape Town, part of the established AVS Audio Visual Solutions group, is hiring an AV Installer / AV Technician to join our new Cape Town team. Installs start 5 October 2026 — apply now.

What you'll do:

Install TVs, projectors, screens, speakers, amplifiers, racks and video-conferencing equipment
Install, terminate, label and test HDMI, XLR, speaker cable, Cat5e/Cat6 and fibre
Basic fault-finding on audio, video, cabling and connectivity
Work safely under our OHS procedures on client sites (incl. ceiling/wall/equipment-room work)
Complete job cards, test sheets and handover documentation

What you need:

Grade 12 / Matric
1–3+ years' experience in AV, electrical, telecoms, data or related installation work
Comfortable with drills, crimpers, cable testers and general installation tools
Valid driver's licence
Able to work at heights/in ceiling voids and lift AV equipment
Reliable, presentable, good with clients

This is a growth role — we're building toward Senior AV Technician and eventually an AV Project/Technical Manager position for the right person.

Salary: up to R17,000/month, based on experience.
