Job Description:

• Manage and oversee audit engagements from planning through to completion.
• Review financial statements, audit files, and working papers to ensure compliance with auditing standards and regulatory requirements.
• Lead, mentor, and develop audit staff while allocating work and monitoring performance.
• Liaise directly with clients to provide professional advice and resolve audit-related queries.
• Identify risks, recommend process improvements, and ensure high-quality audit delivery.
• Manage audit budgets, timelines, and client expectations to ensure deadlines are met.
• Assist with technical accounting and auditing matters and ensure compliance with IFRS, ISA, and relevant legislation.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while supporting business development initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Completed SAICA articles with CA(SA) registration preferred (or equivalent qualification).
• Minimum 5 years’ audit experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, ISA, Companies Act, and South African tax legislation.
• Experience managing audit engagements and leading audit teams.
• Proficiency in CaseWare, DraftWorx, Microsoft Office, and other audit/accounting software.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and client relationship management skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
