Job description
City Sightseeing based in Paarden Eiland, Cape Town has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Auto Electrician!
The Auto-Electrician will be responsible for the installation and repair of auto-electrical and electronic equipment in our buses, boats and cars to detect electrical faults using basic diagnostic testing equipment and discretion based on experience
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform daily auto-electrical maintenance and repair of buses
- Read and understand wiring diagrams
- Diagnose faults and carry out auto-electrical testing to resolve electrical issues
- Conduct electrical repairs and replaces faulty components
- Complete job cards
- Inspect electrical components using testing devices
- Perform routine maintenace checks
- Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures
- Carry out all work according to maintenance procedures and standards
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Matric (Grade 12) or NTC 3 qualification
- Accredited/ recognised Trade Test Certificate: Auto-electrician or similar
- Experience in body maintenance of buses advantageous
- Experience in aircon maintenance advantageous
- Knowledge on Can bus systems will be advantages
- At least 4 years’ experience as an auto-electrician in a heavy-duty vehicle environment
- Technical skills, including knowledge of electrical systems and diagnostics
- Problem-solving abilities
- Attention to detail
- Computer skills
- Safety awareness
- Technical proficiency with tools
- Teamwork
- Able to work on weekends and Public holidays
- Able to work under pressure
Pay: R25 000,00 - R30 000,00 per month
Experience:
- Auto-electrician: 4 years (Required)
License/Certification:
- Auto-electrical trade certification (Preferred)
