Position outputs

• Carry out auto electrical and electronic repairs and maintenance on Earthmoving Equipment in workshop, customer sites or field service.

• Trouble shoot, Analyse and find root cause failures on electric and electronic components. Remove, repair and install auto electrical and electronic components.

• Upgrade system files and do download on electronic systems.

• Install, calibrate and test support systems on machines.

• Quickly and efficiently, deal with all customer’s auto electrical breakdowns.

• Do non-electrical and air-conditioning maintenance and repairs on Earthmoving machines.

• Compile accurate customer service reports.

• Transfer knowledge to colleagues.

• Comply with Company and customer safe work practices.

• Maintain professional image when representing BWE on customer site.

• Effective self-management and performance ownership.

• Comply with Contamination Control requirements.

• Control own admin (labour booking, service reports, part returns, expenses etc.).

Qualification, Experience and Competencies

• Matric or equivalent
• Qualified in relevant trade (Auto Electrician) – “Red Seal”
• Minimum 5 years post qualification experience on electric and electronic systems on Caterpillar machines
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills on electrical and electronic systems
• Caterpillar machine specific technical knowledge and skills.
• Good understanding off Caterpillar electrical and electronic systems
• Experience on air conditioning maintenance and repairs.
• Applicable attachments product operation knowledge.
• Knowledge and / or exposure to ISO quality systems.
• Good technical report writing skills.
• Good Computer Literacy (SIS, STW & ET) knowledge.
• Drivers licence – Code B.
• Sound interpersonal and communication skills.
