Job description

VACANCY: AUTO-ELECTRICIAN (YELLOW PLANT)

Both local and non-local applicants are invited to apply.

Location: Eastern Cape, Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha) & Project: R335 Motherwell to Addo

Project Reporting to: Workshop Manager

Intertrading Africa (Pty) Ltd invites suitably qualified and experienced candidates to apply for the position of Auto Electrician (Yellow Plant).

Minimum Requirements

Trade Test Certificate as an Auto-Electrician (advantageous).
Minimum 5–8 years' experience working on yellow plant equipment.
Proven experience on excavators, loaders, graders, recyclers, and similar heavy earthmoving equipment.
Valid driver's licence and Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

Key Responsibilities \

Diagnose and repair electrical faults on yellow plant equipment.
Service and maintain electrical systems, wiring, batteries, alternators, starters, and lighting.
Use diagnostic tools to identify and resolve electrical issues.
Perform preventative maintenance and attend to equipment breakdowns.
Comply with health, safety, and company procedures.
Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams while accurately completing job cards and maintenance reports.

Key Skills

Electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of heavy equipment electrical systems.
Ability to work independently and under pressure.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
