A busy Bosch Car Service center is looking for a skilled, high-output Qualified Automotive Technician (Journeyman) who specializes in heavy mechanical repairs and advanced problem-solving. If you take pride in precision diagnostics, complete engine overhauls, and maintaining a zero-defect standard, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engine Overhauls: Perform complete, high-precision engine rebuilds and cylinder head overhauls.
• Complex Diagnostics: Execute advanced electrical and mechanical fault finding using specialized diagnostic equipment to accurately isolate deep-seated issues.
• Heavy Mechanical Repairs: Handle complex driveline, transmission, and major component repairs across various vehicle makes.
• Productivity & Quality: Consistently meet daily productivity targets while maintaining a strict technical comeback rate of <1%.
• Workshop Compliance: Adhere strictly to OHS standards, tool accountability policies, and workplace safety regulations.
• Mentorship: Provide guidance and technical support to junior apprentices and learners on the floor.

Requirements:

• Recognized Trade Test Certificate (Motor Mechanic).
• Minimum 5–10 years post-qualification workshop experience, with a proven, hands-on track record in engine rebuilds and complex diagnostics.
• Formal Diagnostic Training & Certifications: Completed training in advanced automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, or modern diagnostic platforms (familiarity with multi-brand scan tools and software such as Bosch ESI[tronic] is a strong advantage).
• Strong technical mindset and ability to work independently under pressure.
• Valid driver's license.

Remuneration & Incentives:

• Market-related basic salary.
• Incentive bonus structure.

Pay: R18 000,00 - R20 000,00 per month
