Job Purpose
The Western Cape Mobility Department, Western Cape Government (WCG) have an exciting employment opportunity for a suitable qualified and competent individual to render an Auxiliary Service to the Western Cape Mobility Department. The successful incumbent must be able to work under pressure, willingness to work irregular hours and meet tight deadlines.
Minimum Requirements
An appropriate 3-year tertiary qualification (National Diploma/B-Degree or higher qualification) in Supply Chain Management or Finance. A minimum of 1-year relevant experience in Supply Chain Management or Finance

Competencies
Knowledge of and working experience with the following: legislation, regulatory frameworks, policies and best practices relevant to the line functions; use information systems that support the management of knowledge and information relating to the line function; perform logistics and asset management or financial administration functions; capture asset management data and maintain accurate statistics; operate relevant computer systems and applications; perform duties relating to asset management administration and practices; understand the legislative framework governing the Public Service; perform work procedures applicable to the working environment; manage financial processes in accordance with the Public Finance Management Act, National Treasury Regulations, Provincial Treasury Instructions and other applicable financial policies, prescripts, directives and collective agreements; operate basic government systems such as PERSAL, BAS and LOGIS; manage projects; perform operational management functions; Skills: numeracy and literacy functions; use computer systems effectively; communicate in the required language; manage projects; perform accounting, finance and audit functions; conduct economic, financial and statistical analysis; perform legal administration; Other: plan and organise work activities; provide effective customer care; compile reports; solve problems; communicate effectively in writing and verbally; demonstrate creative thinking; make sound decisions; work effectively under pressure; work irregular hours when required; meet tight deadlines.
Remuneration
R 338 106- R 398 277 per annum (Salary level 7)
Note on remuneration in addition service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.

All shortlisted candidates shall undertake two pre-entry assessments. One will be a practical exercise to determine a candidate’s suitability based on the post’s technical and generic requirements and the other must be an integrity (ethical conduct) assessment. The selection process will be guided by the EE targets of the employing department.
