3. Position Summary

The Backend Developer will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems to support our client's digital banking and payment platforms. The role requires expertise in Node.js and Java, with a strong emphasis on data engineering principles to ensure robust, high-performance solutions aligned with fintech and banking industry standards.

4. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize backend services using Node.js and Java.
• Design and implement data pipelines and engineering solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate backend systems with frontend and third-party services.
• Ensure system reliability, security, and scalability in line with banking regulations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks and technical issues.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

5. Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of backend development experience with Node.js and Java.
• Proven experience in data engineering, including ETL processes and database optimization.

6. Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in fintech, banking, or payments industries.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and event-driven systems.

7. Skills Required

• Proficiency in Node.js and Java.
• Strong understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Expertise in RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
• Familiarity with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

8. Experience Level

Senior (5+ years of relevant experience).

9. Working Conditions/Environment

• Hybrid work model (office and remote).
