Bakery Manager (Night Shift)

We are looking for an experienced and organised Bakery Manager to oversee night-shift operations in a high-volume production bakery. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing production, maintaining quality standards, leading a team, and ensuring the timely distribution of baked goods to multiple supermarket branches.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all nightly bakery production activities.
• Plan and coordinate production schedules to meet demand and delivery targets.
• Ensure consistent product quality, food safety, and hygiene standards.
• Monitor productivity, minimise waste, and optimise the use of resources.
• Coordinate the accurate and timely dispatch of products to stores.
• Ensure orders are accurately prepared and delivered on schedule.
• Lead, train, and supervise night-shift bakery staff.
• Manage staff schedules and support a high-performance team culture.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food safety regulations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Bakery Manager, Production Supervisor, or similar role in a high-volume bakery environment.
• Strong knowledge of commercial bakery production processes.
• Experience leading and managing teams.
• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP knowledge advantageous).
• Excellent planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Experience within a central production bakery supplying retail or supermarket stores will be advantageous.
• Relevant baking, food production, or hospitality qualification preferred.
