Purpose Statement

The Banqueting Houseman is responsible for providing efficient operational and logistical support to the Banqueting Department before, during and after conferences, weddings, functions, meetings and other events.

The position ensures that function venues are correctly set up, maintained and cleared according to Indalo Hotels & Leisure standards, while providing professional support to the banqueting and food & beverage teams to ensure the smooth execution of every event.

The Banqueting Houseman plays an important role in maintaining high standards of presentation, cleanliness, equipment handling, service readiness and guest satisfaction.

Education (Formal Qualification Required)

Minimum

Grade 12 / Matric preferred.
Previous hospitality, banqueting, restaurant, events or hotel experience advantageous.
Good understanding of basic food and beverage operations.
Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift and move tables, chairs and banqueting equipment safely.
Be able to climb a ladder and work at heights

Ideal

Previous experience in a hotel or conference venue.
Banqueting or events experience.
Basic Food Safety/Hygiene training.
Occupational Health & Safety awareness.
Experience working with conference and function equipmen

Pay: R5 952,00 per month
