Bar Manager

About the Role:

The Bar Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the bar, ensuring exceptional service delivery, maximizing revenue, managing stock and controlling costs, while maintaining the highest standards of quality, hygiene and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate bar team to deliver outstanding service.
• Ensure smooth daily bar operation and high service standards.
• Manage stock , ordering, inventory and minimize wastage.
• Monitor sales, control costs and achieve revenue targets.
• Ensure compliance with Liquor licensing laws and hotel policies.
• Create a welcoming atmosphere and enhance guest experience.
• Work closely with the F&B team to support events and promotions.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards at all times.
• Handle Guest feedback and resolve complaints professionally.

Requirements

• 3-5 Years experience in a similar role within a hotel or premium establishment. .
• Strong knowledge of wines, spirits , beers and cocktails.
• Excellent leadership , communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to manage a team and drive performance.
• Sound knowledge of stock control, costing and budgeting.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Matric ( Grade 12) or equivalent.
• Bar or Hospitality management qualification a must.

Pay: R15 000,00 - R25 000,00 per month
