Job Purpose To assist in preparing and serving high-quality coffee, beverages, and light snacks while providing excellent customer service in a welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages, including espressos, cappuccinos, lattes, and more.
- Create and serve delicious smoothies and other specialty drinks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee and preparation areas, ensuring hygiene standards are met.
- Monitor stock levels, perform stock takes, and assist in ordering supplies when needed.
- Greet customers with a friendly and approachable attitude, taking orders and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Operate and maintain coffee machines and other equipment.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks, such as serving pastries or other light menu items.
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately.
- Work collaboratively with team members to create a fun and welcoming atmosphere.
- Adhere to health and safety standards at all times.
- Be proactive in identifying and addressing any operational or customer service issues.
- Support other general duties as required to ensure smooth daily operations.
Requirements
- Matric Certificate (preferred).
- At least 3 years of barista experience.
- A passion for coffee, customer service, and creating positive experiences for customers.
- Outgoing, fun personality with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to multitask and take initiative when needed.
- Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
- Willing to travel to Brooklyn Cape Town, 7am - 4pm - Monday to Friday.
