Veld & Vine Bistro is looking for a skilled, energetic and customer-focused Barista to become part of our front-of-house team. We’re searching for someone who genuinely loves coffee, thrives in a busy service environment, and enjoys creating memorable guest experiences.

What we’re looking for

• Professionally trained Barista with hands-on café experience
• Friendly, well-spoken and confident with customers
• Excellent knowledge of espresso extraction, milk texturing and coffee preparation
• Able to maintain exceptional consistency and presentation in every cup
• Comfortable assisting with floor service and supporting the team during busy periods
• Strong upselling ability and a natural passion for hospitality
• Reliable, organized and able to work efficiently under pressure

Key responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality coffees and specialty beverages
• Deliver warm, attentive customer service
• Manage and maintain the coffee station to the highest standard
• Monitor stock levels and assist with stock taking and ordering
• Ensure cleanliness, hygiene and equipment care at all times
• Recommend beverages and menu items to enhance the guest experience
• Support front-of-house service whenever required

Requirements

• Minimum 1–2 years barista experience in a café or restaurant
• Formal barista training or certification is highly advantageous
• Hospitality experience and a team-player attitude are essential
• Available to work weekends and public holidays
