Beauty Salon Front Desk Coordinator / Receptionist
Location: Boksburg / East Rand, Gauteng
Job Type: Full-time
A luxury beauty salon based in the Boksburg / East Rand area is looking for a professional, highly organised and client-focused Front Desk Coordinator / Receptionist to join our team.
We are looking for someone who understands that the front desk is the heart of a busy beauty salon. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the appointment diary, communicating professionally with clients and ensuring that the day-to-day flow of the salon runs smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and coordinating the salon appointment diary
- Booking, confirming, rescheduling and cancelling appointments
- Responding to client enquiries via WhatsApp and telephone
- Ensuring appointments are allocated correctly according to staff availability and services
- Welcoming clients and providing a professional front-desk experience
- Processing client payments and assisting with check-outs
- Communicating appointment changes with clients and therapists
- Keeping accurate client and booking information
- Assisting with general front-desk administration
- Supporting the smooth daily operation of the salon
- Handling client queries professionally and escalating matters when necessary
Requirements
- Previous reception, front-desk or administrative experience
- Previous experience within a beauty salon, spa, hair salon or similar environment is highly advantageous
- Strong diary and appointment-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional WhatsApp and telephone etiquette
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
- Confident working in a busy, client-facing environment
- Reliable, punctual and professional
- Able to work independently and use good judgement
- Comfortable working with booking systems and basic technology
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is warm and welcoming with clients but also sharp, organised and confident when managing a busy diary.
You should be proactive, solution-oriented and able to anticipate scheduling issues before they become problems. This position requires someone who can take ownership of the front desk and maintain a high standard of professionalism at all times.
