BI Analyst and Developer - (Wackys)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The BI Analyst & Developer is responsible for establishing a dedicated Business Intelligence capability within Wacky's, enabling accurate, timely and automated reporting across the business. The role develops dashboards, integrates data sources and provides actionable insights across Sales, Operations, Finance, Marketing, Maintenance and Labour, improving decision-making and reducing reliance on manual reporting as the business grows
• Role is based at the Durban Head Office, with travel as required
• Design, build and maintain Power BI dashboards for operational and commercial reporting
• Extract, integrate and combine data from multiple databases and systems using SQL
• Automate manual reporting processes to improve accuracy, timeliness and efficiency
• Develop data models and KPI frameworks for Sales, GP, EBITDA and store performance reporting
• Analyse POS and transactional data to identify commercial insights and performance opportunities
• Create and maintain a single source of truth for reporting across the business
• Partner with department heads across Sales, Operations, Finance, Marketing, Maintenance and Labour to understand reporting needs and translate them into actionable dashboards
• Commercially minded with a strong analytical mindset
• Self-starter, able to build a new capability from the ground up
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills

REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics or a related field
• Power BI (dashboard design and development)
• SQL and database management tools
• Advanced Excel (data modelling, advanced functions)
• Experience working with POS / transactional data systems
• Experience within a multi-site retail, QSR or restaurant environment
• Exposure to data warehousing / ETL tools and processes
• Advanced statistical or data modelling techniques
• Own vehicle and valid drivers license
