Biokineticist Vacancy – Zimbabwe

Location: Zimbabwe
Start Date: 1 September 2026

The Back Clinic is expanding and is looking for a passionate, motivated, and patient-focused Biokineticist to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team in Zimbabwe.

We are seeking a dedicated professional who is committed to delivering exceptional patient care while working collaboratively with Doctors, Physiotherapists, Biokineticists, and Administrative staff.

About the Role

As a Biokineticist, you will play a key role in the rehabilitation of patients suffering from back, neck, musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, neurological, sports-related, and chronic conditions. You will be responsible for providing evidence-based rehabilitation programmes aimed at improving patient outcomes and quality of life.

Key ResponsibilitiesClinical

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized rehabilitation programmes.
  • Lead patients through exercise therapy, mobility programmes, stretching, and functional rehabilitation.
  • Educate patients on their diagnosis, treatment plan, expected outcomes, and home exercise programmes.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and treatment notes.
  • Participate in patient case discussions and clinical meetings.
  • Communicate effectively with doctors, physiotherapists, and the clinical team regarding patient progress.

DBC Rehabilitation

  • Deliver rehabilitation using the DBC Protocol.
  • Perform DBC assessments including EMG measurements, Range of Motion assessments, VAS Pain Scores, Keele Screening Tool, Disability Assessments, and other required outcome measures.
  • Encourage patient compliance and participation throughout the rehabilitation programme.
  • Provide home exercise programmes at every treatment session.

Non-DBC Rehabilitation

  • Assess and manage non-DBC patients.
  • Apply appropriate ICD-10 coding.
  • Refer complex cases to the Practice Doctor or Physiotherapist where appropriate.
  • Provide clear treatment plans and recommendations to practitioners and administration.

Compliance & Administration

  • Maintain comprehensive patient records and treatment documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with professional and regulatory standards.
  • Record treatment codes accurately.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Report any compliance concerns to the Clinical Lead.

Professional Development

  • Maintain all required professional registrations.
  • Remain CPD compliant.
  • Attend internal and external training.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and clinical discussions.

Patient Care

  • Deliver exceptional, patient-centred care.
  • Provide education, emotional support, and professional guidance throughout the patient's rehabilitation journey.
  • Build strong relationships with patients through excellent communication and professionalism.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Biokinetics.
  • Current professional registration with the applicable regulatory authority.
  • Valid Professional Indemnity Insurance.
  • Zimbabwean citizen or legally authorised to work in Zimbabwe.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Strong administrative and documentation skills.
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office and Google Workspace).
  • Passion for rehabilitation and patient care.
  • Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of DBC rehabilitation systems (advantageous).
  • Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Time management and organisational skills.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
