Boiler Operator

A vacancy currently exists for a Boiler Operator at Meadow Feeds Standerton.

The Ideal Candidate Would Be Responsible For

• Operating and monitoring the boiler to maintain a consistent steam supply and support optimal production throughput.
• Managing coal, feed-water and chemical-dosing systems to ensure the correct supply of fuel, air and water and prevent operational interruptions or equipment damage.
• Conducting routine inspections, basic maintenance and cleaning of the boiler and related equipment, and promptly reporting leaks, defects and other abnormalities.
• Maintaining a safe, clean and compliant boiler-house environment in accordance with occupational health and safety requirements and applicable quality systems.
• Completing the required operational logs, checklists and records, reporting problems to the relevant supervisor, and training the Boiler Assistant in applicable operating duties.

The Successful Candidate Must Meet The Following Requirements

• Matric;
• Have own, reliable transport;
• Completed Boiler Operating Course;
• Must be able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
