Company Description PartServe Channel Support (Pty) Ltd is South Africa’s leading IT outsource warranty management company, representing major global brands such as Acer, Lenovo, Epson, Canon, Sony PlayStation, Zebra, IBM, MSI, NEC, and Kyocera. The company is a preferred provider for out-of-warranty repairs on laptops, PCs, monitors, scanners, and printers. Through five branches, PartServe stocks and sells spare parts for officially supported products and a wide range of branded IT equipment available in South Africa. PartServe also offers its own PowerServe brand of universal laptop AC adapters and lightning protection products, which are widely adopted in Southern Africa. In addition, the company is recognized by the corporate community for IT asset disposal, refurbishment, and resale of second-hand PC and printing equipment.
Role Description The Booking Clerk role at PartServe Channel Support (Pty) Ltd is a full-time, on-site position based in Bloemfontein. The Booking Clerk is responsible for receiving and logging service bookings, repair requests, and warranty claims in the company’s systems, ensuring accurate and complete information is captured. Daily tasks include answering incoming calls, responding to emails, confirming booking details with clients, and coordinating collection or drop-off times for IT equipment. The role involves maintaining organized records, updating job statuses, preparing basic reports, and collaborating with technicians and branch staff to ensure smooth workflow and timely service delivery. The Booking Clerk also provides customer support by addressing queries, explaining processes, and following up on outstanding bookings in a professional and customer-focused manner.
Qualifications
- Strong Customer Service and Communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and internal teams.
- Good Phone Etiquette and Clerical Skills for handling calls, booking requests, data entry, and record keeping.
- Ability to learn and use company systems and software for booking management, tracking, and reporting.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and reliability in managing multiple bookings and deadlines.
- Previous experience in an administrative, booking, or front-office role within a service or technical environment is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of IT hardware (e.g., laptops, PCs, printers) would be beneficial, though not mandatory.
- Matric/High school diploma or equivalent; further training in office administration or customer service is an added advantage.
