Job description

Bookkeeper required for a fish processing factory situated in Airport Industria Cape Town.

Duties as follows but not limited to:

Daily bank capturing and reconciliations, including loading payments, salaries and wages.
Capturing and mainting of customer accounts. Includes following up with receipts and resolving any queries.
Assisting the creditors clerk with the reconciliations of suppliers. Loading of month end payments.
Maintain accurate financials records up to Income Statement and Balance Sheet.
Intercompany account transactions.
Assist wage clerk with weekly wages.
Prepare monthly staff payroll run.
SARS EMP201 , EMP501 (Reconciliations) and VAT submissions
Assist the financial manager with audit preparations and various other financial duties.

Requirements:

Computer literate with Pastel Sage Accounting and Payroll experience an advantage.

Experience with SARS Efiling and Easyfile and submissions of PAYE + VAT as well as PAYE reconcilitions.

Strong debtors skills.

Ability to work independently as well as a team member in order to assist where needed.

Good communications skills.

High attention to detail
