Bookkeeper

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our growing signage company. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial records and ensuring accurate bookkeeping up to trial balance. Experience with Xero is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform bookkeeping functions up to trial balance.
• Maintain accurate financial records using Xero.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Process supplier invoices and customer payments.
• Prepare and load payment batches onto the online banking platform for authorization.
• Reconcile bank accounts, supplier statements, and customer accounts.
• Assist with cash flow monitoring and reporting.
• Liaise with external accountants regarding month-end, year-end, and audit requirements.
• Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for the accountants.
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
• Perform general administrative and finance-related duties as required.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper.
• Proficiency in Xero is essential.
• Experience with bookkeeping through to trial balance.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Experience preparing payment runs and loading payments onto online banking systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Good communication skills and the ability to liaise professionally with accountants, suppliers, and customers.
• Relevant bookkeeping or accounting qualification will be advantageous.
