Location: Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: R8,000 – R15,000 per month (depending on experience and qualifications)
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in Pinetown. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day bookkeeping functions, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring all financial transactions are processed efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records.
- Process daily financial transactions.
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and issue customer invoices.
- Assist with VAT and other statutory submissions.
- Prepare monthly management reports.
- Maintain organised financial records and supporting documentation.
- Work closely with management and external accountants when required.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks, Xero, and Pastel.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and financial reporting.
- Experience with bank reconciliations, creditors, debtors, and general ledger processing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bookkeeping or Accounting qualification.
- Experience working in a fast-paced business environment.
- Knowledge of VAT and payroll processing will be advantageous.
Salary
R8,000 – R15,000 per month, depending on experience, qualifications, and skill level.
Location: This position is office-based in Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal. Applicants should be able to commute reliably or be planning to relocate before starting work.
