Bookkeeper

Role Purpose

To coordinate and oversee financial operations across payroll, taxation and bookkeeping (up to trial balance), tax planning for 4 filling station sites. This role also assists with the financial planning and processing for the Group’s fast food outlets.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the administration of site accounts, ensuring accurate allocation, compliance with fiduciary responsibilities and transparent reporting to stakeholders.
• Manage and execute e‑filing processes for tax submissions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance with statutory requirements.
• Analyse financial data and prepare reports that inform senior management decisions.
• Assist in the creation and implementation of financial policies and procedures to strengthen governance.
• Collaborate with multiple sites to compile, interpret and present financial data.
• Ensure adherence to financial regulations, standards and tax laws, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of organisational procedures and regulation.
• Assist in preparing for yearly financial statements up to trial balance, supplying accurate and timely financial data.
• Ad hoc duties as required by management.

Minimum Requirements

• Completed tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline (advantageous).
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft excel.
• Solid working knowledge of accounting platforms.
• Comprehensive understanding of taxation processes and e-filing systems.
• Working knowledge in financial planning, budgeting and forecasting, up to trial balance.
• Solid background in financial administration and operational finance.
• Prior experience in the fuel / FMCG retail industry (advantageous).

Pay: R20 000,00 - R22 000,00 per month
