Bookkeeper/Accountant

We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Accountant to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s day-to-day financial records, ensuring accuracy, maintaining compliance, and supporting the business with timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and maintain accurate financial records.
• Manage creditors and debtors.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations.
• Process supplier invoices and customer payments.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns.
• Process payroll and statutory deductions (PAYE, UIF, SDL).
• Prepare monthly management accounts.
• Assist with budgeting and cash flow management.
• Liaise with auditors, accountants, and regulatory authorities when required.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and general ledger accounts.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and South African financial regulations.
• Perform general accounting and administrative duties as required.

Minimum Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, or Pastel.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Advantageous

• Experience in payroll processing.
• Knowledge of SARS submissions and statutory compliance.
• Experience in a fast-paced SME environment.

Pay: R10 000,00 - R20 000,00 per month
