Job description
To coordinate the day-to-day operations of a betting branch, ensuring efficient service delivery, strong team performance, regulatory compliance, accurate financial administration, effective risk control, and excellent customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate daily branch betting operations to ensure smooth, accurate and compliant service delivery.
Lead, supervise, train and motivate cashiers, supervisors and other branch staff.
Monitor staff performance, attendance, conduct and productivity, addressing issues promptly and professionally.
Oversee cash handling, floats, pay-outs, banking processes and financial controls. Prepare operational and financial reports in line with required standards and internal procedures.
Ensure compliance with betting regulations, company policies, internal controls and responsible gambling requirements.
Identify and mitigate operational risks, including cash, security, customer service and compliance risks.
Drive sales performance, branch targets, promotions and local marketing initiatives.
Resolve customer queries and complaints while maintaining a high level of customer service.
Optimise operational efficiency through effective planning, administration, scheduling and process improvement.
Maintain accurate records, data capturing, reporting and general branch administration. Support strategic planning and implementation of operational improvements at branch level.
Expand the bookmaker operations to other venues and coordinate opening of other sites
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 / Matric.
Proven experience in betting, gaming, retail branch operations or a similar customer-facing operational environment.
Previous supervisory or branch management experience.
Experience managing cash, floats, pay-outs, banking and operational reporting.
Computer literacy, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Outlook.
Knowledge of betting systems and operational platforms will be advantageous.
Ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays where required.
