Retail Brand Ambassador (PayJoy)

Location: Gqeberha/Port Elizabeth (Eastern Cape) - Shoprite Knect Greenacres

Position type: Contract/Campaign based

Working Hours: Tuesday to Saturday (retail trading hours, predominantly 09:00 – 18:00)

Remuneration: R4,950.00 fixed monthly basic + sales commission paid via the 6DOT50 platform

Core Function: In-store customer canvassing (minimum 30 engagements/day), pitching smartphone device financing, processing PayJoy applications, Rica/SIM activations, and basic stock counts.

Job Purpose: Responsible for assisting customers with cellular needs, selling mobile phones (PAYJOY), SIM cards, accessories, airtime and data packages, while delivering excellent customer service and meeting sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Engagement & Sales: Proactively approach and engage a minimum of 30 customers daily, identify their needs, and promote cellular products and services.
• Product Promotion: Promote PAYJOY mobile phones, SIM cards, accessories, airtime, data packages and in-store specials, including using the in-store PA system.
• Sales Targets: Meet/exceed monthly sales targets.
• Product Knowledge: Explain product features, pricing, promotions, warranties and financing options accurately.
• Transactions & Compliance: Process PAYJOY applications, payments and customer transactions accurately, and ensure SIM activations comply with RICA requirements.
• Stock & Merchandising: Monitor stock levels, report shortages, process damaged goods for returns, and maintain accurate pricing and attractive product displays.
• Customer Service: Assist customers with device setup, SIM installation and basic troubleshooting while handling queries and complaints professionally.
• Operational Duties: Maintain accurate sales records, complete daily checklists, follow company procedures, and collaborate with colleagues to improve store performance.

Requirements:

• Matric (Grade 12).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable working with smartphones, tablets, computers, and mobile technology.
• Good numeracy and administrative skills.
• Ability to work toward sales targets and performance goals.
• Professional, enthusiastic, and customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Pay: From R4 950,00 per month
