Brand Designer

About the role

We are looking for a creative and hands-on Brand and Marketing Designer to help us bring this new brand to life. You will work with the marketing team and management to develop the brand’s visual identity and apply it across packaging, catalogues, product materials, digital content and retailer marketing materials.

This role is ideal for someone with strong design skills who wants the opportunity to help build a brand from its early stages. It is not a senior marketing-management position. We are looking for someone who enjoys doing the practical creative work, can manage different design jobs and is eager to learn and grow.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with developing and maintaining the new brand’s visual identity.
• Help define the brand messaging, tone and story to translate technical products into clear customer and commercial benefits.
• Work with development and procurement teams to develop a brand website.
• Create packaging and label designs for aftermarket parts.
• Design product catalogues, brochures, flyers and sales presentations.
• Prepare product images, technical information and layouts for print and digital use.
• Create social media content, email graphics, website banners and digital advertisements.
• Develop point-of-sale materials and marketing tools for retailers and distributors.
• Create mock-ups and visual concepts for new products and campaigns.
• Adapt designs for different products, customers and international markets.
• Work with the product and sales teams to turn technical information into clear, attractive marketing materials.
• Prepare artwork correctly for printers, packaging suppliers and other production partners.
• Maintain organised brand, product and artwork files.
• Check designs and product information carefully before final approval or production.
• Help ensure the brand is used consistently across all platforms and materials.
• Support product launches, trade shows, photoshoots and other marketing activities.
• Assist with general marketing and creative tasks when required.

Skills and experience

• A qualification in graphic design, visual communication, marketing or a related field.
• Approximately 1–3 years of relevant experience. Strong graduates with a good portfolio are also encouraged to apply.
• Good working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly:
• Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop
• Adobe XD or Figma
• Strong layout, typography and visual-design skills.
• An understanding of preparing artwork for print and digital use.
• Ability to work within an brand guidelines while also contributing new ideas.
• Good attention to detail, especially when working with product codes, specifications and technical information.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage several design jobs and meet deadlines.

Experience in packaging design, product catalogues, automotive parts, industrial products or B2B marketing would be an advantage, but is not essential.

Pay: R9 947,21 - R20 000,00 per month
