Key Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (NQF Level 7 or higher) in Risk Management, Business Administration, Management, or a related

Professional Certifications:

• Membership and certification with the Business Continuity Institute (such as CBCI or MBCI - Member/Certified Business Continuity Institute).
• ISO 22301 Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor certification (the international standard for Business Continuity Management Systems).
• Affiliation with local bodies like the Institute of Risk Management South Africa (IRMSA)

Required Experience

• Practical Duration: A minimum of 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing BCM frameworks. [1, 2]
• Training & Facilitation: At least 5 years of proven experience specifically in facilitating adult training, workshops, and simulation exercises for corporate or public-sector clients. [1, 2, 3]
• Regulatory Knowledge: Deep familiarity with South African legislative environments, such as the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and National Treasury Regulations, alongside global frameworks like ISO 22301 and the BCI Good Practice Guidelines
