Main Purpose of the Job

We are seeking a proactive, results-driven Business Developer with strong prospecting, relationship-building, and consultative selling skills. The ideal candidate demonstrates commercial acumen, excellent communication skills, resilience, and a proven ability to identify opportunities, develop strategic customer relationships, and deliver sustainable business growth.

Performance Measures (KPI’s)

• Canvassing and prospecting of new business opportunities within our scope of work and converting these into won deals.

• Efficient and effective management of converting leads and referrals into opportunities and ultimately into won deals

• Frequent and continuous client engagement, client interaction and client relationship management

• The Preparation of proposals and quotations using Salesforce and other business platforms and applications

• Tender management, including the attendance of briefing sessions, followed by the preparation, submission and tracking.

• Contribute to the development of the Certification departments’ sales activities specific for certification contracts;

• Presenting Bureau Veritas and our portfolio of services to high-level audiences.

• New Business (Monthly sales generated from new and existing customers - actual sales achieved versus budget.)

• Maintaining the agreed quota regarding no. of client meetings (online and/or in-person) per month

• Driving the growth of specific market-relevant products

• Manage and co-ordinate quarterly product campaigns and events

• Retention of existing client business

• Management of sales and administrative processes and functions related to existing contracts

• Cross-selling other services within Bureau Veritas

• Supporting the Training Division within Bureau Veritas by upselling training initiatives

Knowledge, Key Skills & Experience

• Diploma/Degree in Marketing, Sales or Business Administration (advantageous)
• Minimum 5 years’ sales experience required
• Experience in Business Development essential
• Cold calling experience is a must
• Must have working experience in a target driven environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Background in selling training products (advantageous)
• Knowledge of ISO standards (advantageous)
• Experience in working with Salesforce (advantageous)
• Must be willing to travel, when necessary
