Business Development Executive

Location: Johannesburg

(Remote/Hybrid)

We are looking for a high-performing Business Development Executive to drive B2B revenue growth within large enterprises. You will manage the full sales cycle, from identifying and qualifying prospects to conducting outreach and closing deals. This role requires a professional who is as effective at navigating boardroom negotiations as they are at maintaining a disciplined sales pipeline.

Role Description

This full-time Business Development Executive role is responsible for driving new revenue growth and expanding SprintHive’s client base. Day-to-day activities include identifying and qualifying prospects, conducting outreach campaigns, and managing the sales cycle from initial contact through closing. This involves building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, presenting product demos, and tailoring solutions to client needs in digital onboarding and fraud management.

You will collaborate closely with business development, marketing, engineering, and partnership teams to refine go-to-market strategies, support contract negotiations, and ensure a smooth transition from sale to implementation. Ongoing responsibilities include tracking sales performance, reporting on pipeline health, and continuously seeking opportunities to grow accounts and open new markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive digital transformation through meaningful engagement with C-level executives, IT leaders, and various lines of customers business.
  • Prospect for new accounts, develop customer base, appraise key business opportunities in target market segments.
  • Responsible for the creation, implementation, and execution of the Sales Action Plan.
  • Develop, manage and forecast overall business across the industries.
  • Maintain a flawless HubSpot environment, ensuring the database remains clean, organised, and optimised for effective pipeline management.
  • Respond promptly and decisively to customers’ requirements through effective communication and co-ordination with various internal teams.
  • Plan and lead complex sales campaigns.
  • Build close relationships with key customer individuals at all levels of their organisations.
  • Structure solutions, and business cases for clients.
  • Accountable for completion and successful response to RFI & RFP.
  • Produce detailed monthly sales reports and contribute to revenue-driving initiatives.
  • Other tasks or matters that may be assigned to support revenue targets in the future.

Knowledge and Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven B2B Sales Experience: 10+ years of experience with a primary focus on selling into large enterprises across various verticals.
  • Proven track record of lead generation and closing deals at senior management, executive, and board levels.
  • Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably in SaaS, fintech, or digital onboarding solutions.
  • Expert-level ability to manage sales cycles; experience with HubSpot is preferred.
  • Strong ability to demonstrate services and methodologically advance opportunities from initial interest to Proof of Concept (PoC).
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, strategic thinking, problem-solving, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex technical solutions clearly to diverse stakeholders.
  • Results-oriented with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Comfort working in a remotely/ hybrid set up with strong self-management, organisation, and time-management abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to inform sales strategies and decision-making.
