Business Development Executive - UK Telecoms Experience

Due to continued growth, they are looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Business Development Executive to join their team.

As a Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for generating new business, developing relationships with prospective customers and converting opportunities into sales.

You will engage with business owners and key decision-makers to understand their communication needs and recommend suitable telecoms solutions. You will manage the full sales process, from initial prospecting through to closing the deal.

Key Responsibilities* Proactively generate new business opportunities through outbound calls, emails, LinkedIn and other relevant channels.

• Engage with business owners and key decision-makers.
• Identify prospective customers’ challenges, requirements and commercial priorities.
• Present tailored telecommunications solutions that meet each customer’s needs.
• Build strong, professional relationships with prospective customers.
• Manage the complete sales cycle, from initial contact and qualification through to proposal, negotiation and close.
• Maintain an accurate and up-to-date sales pipeline using the company’s CRM system.
• Consistently achieve or exceed individual sales and revenue targets.
• Follow up effectively with prospects and maintain momentum throughout the sales process.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure a smooth customer handover.
• Keep up to date with market developments, competitor activity and industry trends.

Requirements

Skills and Experience* Previous experience in sales, telesales, business development or a similar customer-facing commercial role.

• Telecommunications experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Confident and persuasive telephone manner.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to build relationships with business owners and senior decision-makers.
• Comfortable managing objections and negotiating with prospective customers.
• Target-driven, competitive and motivated by achieving results.
• Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and follow-ups.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently without close supervision.
• Comfortable using CRM systems and digital prospecting tools.
