Business Development in Sales

Location: Full Stack has a Business Development vacancy at its headquarters in Cape Town, South Africa. The position is a work from the office position when not out meeting with clients in person.

What we do: Full Stack is a bespoke software development company. We build fit for purpose software for clients in a variety of industries utilising a wide range of technologies.

This is an outbound-focused sales role for a business development professional who will be responsible for driving company growth by identifying, prospecting, and qualifying new business leads through cold calling, emails, and outreach.

What your day-to-day responsibilities look like:

1. Achieving your quarterly/monthly sales and prospecting target

2. Develop and maintain sales pipeline

• Generating new leads and nurturing existing or new client relationships
• Generate business opportunities through professional networking and cold calling

3. Close sales opportunities

• Uncover customer needs beyond what may have been initially obvious to the prospect.
• Create list of broad (non-technical) business requirements for internal estimation and present estimations to prospective clients.
• Facilitate effective handover to contracting- and production teams.

What do We need?

Qualifications: ideally an Economics or Business Major (we are in the business of understanding our client’s business after all). Additional brownie points for a postgrad diploma in marketing or tech-related qualification.

Experience: A proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets. Experience in a technology environment is preferred but any consulting- or enterprise based technical sales background would be an advantage.
