Specialist: Business Development – Crypto

An established technology and security business is looking for a Specialist: Business Development – Crypto to join its team and drive growth across new and existing client relationships.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who understands complex B2B sales, enjoys engaging with senior decision-makers and can confidently navigate the full sales cycle — from identifying an opportunity through to closing the deal.

What you’ll be doing

• Grow sales within allocated customer accounts through cross-selling and up-selling opportunities.
• Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive revenue growth and customer retention.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities and expand market share.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Engage with senior managers and executives, understanding their business challenges and objectives.
• Drive the sales process from opportunity identification through to close and invoicing.
• Conduct client presentations and develop compelling proposals, tenders, RFQs and RFP responses.
• Research market trends, customer challenges and competitor activity to identify opportunities.
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts, CRM records and reporting.
• Attend relevant industry and marketing events and actively build your professional network.
• Work closely with technical, product, legal, compliance and finance teams to deliver an integrated client solution.
• Continuously develop your product and industry knowledge.

What we’re looking for

You’ll need:

• Grade 12 as a minimum.
• At least 5 years’ B2B sales experience, ideally selling complex products or solutions to senior managers and executives within mid-tier or enterprise organisations.
• A proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
• Strong business development and account management experience.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail.
• A good understanding of IT and technology concepts.
• Good working knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.

Advantageous

Experience within ICT or Cybersecurity will be highly advantageous.

Knowledge or understanding of PKI, encryption technologies and HSM (Hardware Security Modules) would be a strong advantage.

Pay: R840 000,00 - R860 000,00 per year
