If you’ve spent years navigating Witbank, eMalahleni, Secunda, Middelburg, and other Coal areas and surrounding operations building relationships with coal producers, traders, and key stakeholders this is your opportunity to drive real impact.,,Don’t just sell services, power the future of coal analysis in South Africa.

The successful incumbent will be based in Johannesburg and will need to travel frequently to support Business.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Essential

• Open new doors and secure high-value contracts for on-site laboratories, sampling, preparation, and quality analysis services
• Expand AHK’s footprint in the coal market by identifying and winning site lab implementations and long-term partnerships

Required Competencies

• A strong track record of winning new business and developing key accounts in the coal value chain (mines, Exxaro, Glencore, Eskom-related, or independent producers)
• Deep understanding of local coal market dynamics, SANAS/ISO standards and compliance, and the operational challenges of Coal sites
• Hunter mentality combined with technical credibility and someone who speaks the language of coal professionals fluently
• Play a pivotal role in expanding our Energy Services offering in one or more of South Africa’s most important coal regions

Required Work Experience

• At least 5+ years working experience within coal mining, coal laboratory services, on-site lab operations, sampling/quality control, or commercial/sales roles serving in coal operations.
• A strong track record of winning new business and developing key accounts in the coal value chain (mines, Exxaro, Glencore, Eskom-related, or independent producers)
• Deep understanding of local coal market dynamics, SANAS/ISO standards and compliance, and the operational challenges of Coal sites

Required Qualifications

• Grade 12 whilst a relevant B-degree or an equivalent qualification will be an added advantage
• Valid Drivers Licence

Required Languages

• Proficiency in English (verbal and written)

Travel

• Local and international travel will be required at times. The incumbent must have the ability to travel frequently across Southern Africa
• Valid passport
