As we continue expanding across Africa, we are looking for an ambitious, commercially driven, and technically minded Business Development Manager to join our growing team.

As our Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving sustainable business growth across South Africa and selected African markets.
You will focus on our Industrial Rental, identify and secure new business opportunities, strengthen customer and partner relationships and position Jeco Energies as a trusted energy solutions provider across the continent.
- Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities across South Africa and Africa.
- Expand Jeco's customer base and market presence.
- Develop and implement strategic growth initiatives.
- Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
Client & Partner Management
- Establish long-term relationships with customers, consultants, EPC contractors, utilities, mining companies, and industrial clients.
- Develop strategic partnerships that support sustainable growth.
- Represent Jeco Energies at industry events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities.
Commercial Management
- Lead negotiations and contract discussions.
- Prepare commercial proposals and quotations.
- Support contract management activities.
- Develop business cases and strategic recommendations for management.
Collaboration & Customer Success
- Work closely with Engineering, Projects, Procurement, Operations, and Finance teams.
- Ensure customer needs are effectively translated into commercial opportunities.
- Support customer satisfaction and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Drive excellence in customer engagement and service delivery.
What You'll Bring
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Technical, Commercial, Business, or Economic disciplines.
- Valid driver's licence.
- Valid passport.
- Additional industry-related certifications will be advantageous.
Experience & Technical Expertise
- Strong understanding of electrical installations and industrial energy solutions.
- Proven business development and sales experience in industrial, energy, rental, electrical, infrastructure, or related sectors.
- Experience managing commercial contracts and negotiations.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen.
- Ability to conduct market analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and business planning.
- Knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.
Experience working with:
- Microsoft Office Suite
- ERP Systems (Microsoft Business Central)
- CRM Platforms
- Phronesys (training provided)

Travel Requirements
This role requires regular travel throughout South Africa and Africa and occasionally internationally, to support customer engagement, business development activities, and market expansion initiatives.
